Scott is a native Riplian. After graduating from Ripley High School, he attended the University of Tennessee in Martin graduating with a degree in Music. He came home to Ripley in 2007 to serve as the Band Director for Ripley High School and Lauderdale Middle School after teaching in Adamsville for several years. Already a member at Mary’s Chapel, Scott felt the leading of the Lord to serve as Youth Pastor and Music Minister. After prayer and discussion with Pastor Dennis and the search committee, he was presented to the church and received a 97% approval vote. He continues teaching at the schools while serving at Mary’s Chapel. Scott and his wife, Lyndi, are the Proud parents of Tayler born October 23, 2007 - 12:30pm She weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces and was 19 inches long.
