Core Values
The Great Commandment
Mark 12:30-31 (NKJV):
"'And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment.
And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There
is no other commandment greater than these."
- We believe that people should love God with all of their heart, soul, mind and strength, and that is the most important thing in life.
- We also believe that believers should love people as they love themselves.
Structure of Our Church
- Church is a Fellowship.A top priority is harmony and unity. (Ephesians 4:3, Acts 2:42)
- Church is a Family. We operate on the basis of relationships not rules. (1 Cor. 12:13, Eph. 4:4-6, 1 Peter 3:8)
- Church is a Body.We are a body-not a business! We are an organism-not an organization!(1 Cor. 12:27, Eph. 5:23)
- Church is a Flock.Jesus favorite description of the church is that of sheep. (John 10:1-30, Matt. 26:31, 25:33)
Our Lifestyle Statement: We are B.A.P.T.I.S.T.
- Bible is our sole authority.Since God's Word is the only completely reliable and truthful authority, we accept the Bible as our manual for living. 2 Tim. 3:15
- Autonomy of the local church.Christ is the recognized Head of our church, not any person, group or religious organization. Colossians 1:18
- Priesthood of every believer. The Bible teaches that every Christian is called to "full-time" Christian service, regardless of his or her vocation. 1 Peter 2:9
- Tithing. We practice tithing for the support of the body of Christ, the church, as God commands. We believe it to be a Biblical standard of giving. Leviticus 27:30
- Immersion. We practice baptism by immersion, which can be the only picture of the death, burial and resurrection.
- Spirit-led Living. We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by God's power within us. John 15:5
- Telling others about Christ. It is the privilege of every believer to share the Good News with those God brings into contact with us. 1 Peter 3:15
